Tourism Office

The tourism office was inaugurated on the 22nd of June, 1937, under a project of Moura Coutinho, an architect from Braga who designed many building of this City.

In the year 2000, it was necessary to rethink the building, as well as its function, reorganizing and renewing all that area.

On the 21st of February, 2003 the new Tourism and Cultural Interpretation Centre. Braga gains a new tourist centre with innovative characteristics which allows the expansion of its mere touristic mission and the inclusion of a cultural and educational mission that serves, not only the tourists visiting the city, but also the general population as well, strengthening the identity and identification of the population with the cultural resources and the city.

The Tourism Office provides touristic material in 12 languages, organizes tourism-related events, supports charity institutions, offers a free service in the field of Consumer Defence, improving itself as a municipal service, in order to satisfy both visitors and citizens.
