It is among the best Portuguese beaches of the genre and attracts thousands of vacationers and tourists every year. In addition to the natural conditions that the Rio Cávado offers, it has an extensive lawn trimmed by accessible pedestrian paths as well as an interesting built heritage of which stands an ingenuity for water elevation and irrigation of adjacent agricultural fields. It has a large grassy area where you can sunbathe, picnic, ball games, seagull rental, etc.
