Among the countless construction testimonies of 700, is the old “House of the Pelame Street (Casa da Rua dos Pelames” or of the “S. Geraldo’s street (Rua de S. Geraldo)”, placed in the city core, rose in the place previously occupied by two XVII century houses (Cf. PEREIRA, A. M. de S., 2000). Laterally connected to other two proprieties, the building, of a rectangular plan and gifted of a wide garden with a covered well, in the back, is spread over two floors. Given, in 1993, by the Braga City Hall, to the Holy House of Mercy, the building was adapted to a kindergarten named “Queen Lady Leonor” (Rainha Dona Leonor) by the institution.
