The set that constituted the Gathering of the Charity of Braga (Recolhimento de Caridade de Braga), composed by a building and a private chapel, was possibly built in the XVIII century. However, after losing its social function, the gathering went into progressive degradation in the XX century. In 1990, a reconstruction and remodeling project was made, of the authorship of the architect Teotónio M. Morais da Silva Santos, which allowed the installation of public services in the old gathering.
The building’s façade keeps some of the original outlines, presenting in the first register the chapel’s portal topped with a triangular pediment, sided by a window and another door. In the superior floor, there are four windows of different sizes.
