Opened in 6th August 2006, the Museum Centre of S. Martinho of Dume (Núcleo Museológico de S. Martinho de Dume), became part of the archaeological set sites around Braga that can be visited.
The creation of this museum unit, managed by the Parish Council of Dume, has as goal the preservation, appreciation and divulgation of the archaeological ruins existing in that place, particularly the traces of the Swabian Basilica of Dume (Basílica Sueva de Dume), as well as the said Sarcophagus of S. Martinho. The visit will extend to the ruins set existing under the current parish church and its churchyard. Given the hosting of a diversified public, and explaining flyer and a set of ludic a didactic card, of different complexity levels, particularly destined to school groups.
