The Municipality of Braga is part of this international association, founded in 1994. This association allows collaboration between municipalities committed to the Charter of Educating Cities. This is a project intended for the continuous training of Braga’s population and its citizens’ quality of life.
It is an association for sharing experiences and knowledge, seeking to incorporate its philosophy of intervention in its municipal policies, thus involving and articulating transversally the interventions of various entitiess and institutions which interact in cities.

Under this association, the Municipality of Braga is one of the 58 Portuguese municipalities belonging to the Portuguese Territorial Network of Educating Cities, currently being part of its Steering Committee.
